Jury comments:

The project demonstrates a strong response to the site, with an inviting ground level and clear circulation. The design process is well-documented, showing a thoughtful progression toward the final project. Graphics are appropriately scaled and establish a strong relationship between the building and the landscape.

The massing model effectively communicates programmatic intent, and the student’s attention to detail adds sophistication, even in smaller spaces. Generous outdoor areas and strategies for cross-ventilation respond well to the Florida climate. Considerations for structure, infrastructure, and building systems are hinted at as part of the design.

Interior and exterior views are enhanced by the central atrium, while cantilevers provide shading for exterior balconies. Vertical circulation is clearly articulated, and diagrams successfully convey movement through the building.

Overall, the architecture is engaging and invites exploration. The common areas foster community and encourage use. The project reflects a solid understanding of architectural concepts.
