Requirements for Architects
All­­ architects who are licensed in Florida are required to earn continuing education credits to maintain licensure and AIA requires it for membership. ­For the latest requirements please see the AIA Florida website­.

Continuing Education transcripts are maintained by AIA National. ­We recommend that you check your transcript regularly to make sure credits earned are recorded. To check your transcript go to the AIA ­national site and login. ­

Architectural Experience Program & AIA Continuing Education
Interns may earn supplemental experience hours by completing approved AIA Continuing Education programs. ­One AIA CEU/LU is equal to one experience hour. ­Credits must be documented on your transcript. ­­

Become a Provider
If you are interested in becoming an AIA continuing education provider, information can be found on the AIA National website.

Provide a Class
If you have an approved class which offers HSW credit and would like to work with the chapter to provide the program to our members, please email a copy of the program description to Dawn@aiatampabay.com. ­­ If you are an AIA Tampa Bay Allied Member, we will waive the standard $300 admin and promo fee* as a member benefit. * Staff will promote your program through our newsletter, eblasts and on our website calendar, as well as handle logistics including setting up the Zoom meeting, email reminders, follow-up with attendees and provide an attendee contact list for distribution of certificates.
