The cost will be $100 for AIA Members, $125 for Non Members and $400 for a Foursome which includes:
- 18 holes of golf

ARCHITECTURAL PHOTO COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

TAMPA, Fla. (April 24, 2015) – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Tampa Bay and Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) have named the winning entries in the fifth annual Architectural Photography Contest:
First Place: “Guastavino Tiles NYC,” Dr. William Carson
Second Place: Untitled, Joshua Frank
Third Place: “A Simultaneous Solution of Opposites,” Christopher Weaver
Three professional photographers – RVD Architectural Photography owner Randy Van Duinen, Edit Suites owner Frank Rodriguez and USF Graphicstudio curator of public art and social practice Sara Howard – served as jurors for the photo competition. AIA Tampa Bay treasurer and director Jerel McCants, owner of Ybor City-based Jerel McCants Architecture, Inc., organized the competition in conjunction with FMoPA executive director Zora Carrier, Ph.D. and her staff.
This year’s winning works were announced at a reception on April 16 at FMoPA Community Gallery. The top three entries received $300, $200 and $100, respectively.
Honorable mentions were also awarded to Graciela Aracena-Perez for “Men in the Middle”, Rory Brennan for “Great Court” and to Rachel Hamilton for “untitled”.
The winning works and many of the top entries will be on display in FMoPA’s Community Gallery, 400 N. Ashley Drive in Tampa, until May 3. Each photograph displayed features an architectural theme or contains some element of the built environment surrounding the subject matter.
St. Pete Pier Selection Committee Chooses Pier Park by ASD Team
The concept from ASD and its partners Rogers Partners Architects and Ken Smith, Landscape Architect was ranked first by the selection committee followed by Destination St. Pete Pier and Alma was third. The committee's selection will go to the St. Pete City Council for approval. Read more HERE.
