Florida Building Code:

All Florida licensed architects and interior designers are required to complete two hours of continuing education in an approved provider’s specialized or advanced course on the Florida Building Code, relating to the architect’s respective area of practice. This course must be approved by the Florida Building Commission. You may find a list of approved courses at www.MyFloridaLicense.com. You must complete this requirement for your February 28, 2007, renewal.

Legislative Mandate:
The State of Florida now requires that all design and construction professionals complete a four-hour core curriculum relating to the Florida Building Code and a system of administering and enforcing the Florida Building Code.  This requirement is stipulated in Chapter 553.841, F.S.”
