Green Dividend in Tampa
ECONOMIST SPEAKS ON GREEN CITY
Portland, Oregon, is considered the nation’s greenest city. Meanwhile, skeptics wonder if the city’s strict planning policies and regulations impede growth and lower household income. But a new study called “Portland’s Green Dividend” finds that Portlanders save a bundle on cars and gas and have more money to spend on other things they value. That, in turn, stimulates the local economy.

The Urban Charrette invites the design community to a special presentation by economist Joe Cortright of Impresa Consulting. Cortright has conducted such research projects as “The Young and Restless Study” and “Things Look Different Here" and will discuss how Tampa Bay can generate its own green dividend.

Mr. Cortright will present on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Tampa in downtown Tampa. $30 per person. RSVP via email or phone by Oct. 19th. 813-221-3686.
