Gallery AIA Opening Reception
Archifest Event: Friday, Oct. 12

As a part of Archifest, Gallery AIA, in partnership with the Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History present the exhibition, A New Hut: Ideas Competition for a New Museum.

The exhibition, juried by TMOA architect Stanley Saitowitz, explores possible design solutions for the new site of The Safety Harbor Museum - home to rich historical artifacts from the Paleo Period to modern times.

Following the popular trend of museum expansion, The Safety Harbor Museum plans on creating a new interactive learning experience by creating a new space for the collection. The design ideas from the competition will be used by museum directors and city leaders to garner support and funding for a new facility.

In addition, Gallery AIA will display the entries from the AIA Tampa Bay Photo Competition, a contest which challenged the general public to submit architecturally inspired images from the AIA Tampa Bay seven county region.

The reception is open to the public and complimentary food and drinks will be served. All are invited on Friday, October 12th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Gallery AIA in Downtown Tampa.
