This Weekend, the AIA TB Associates Committee presents the David Thaddeus Structures Seminar. This weekend workshop will cover the two structural divisions of the ARE - General Structures and Lateral Forces.
Professor Thaddeus has taught structural divisions since 1989 and is currently Associate Professor of Structures and Architectural Design at the College of Architecture, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. LEED Part II: Study Session
This thursday, june 21st
Join us for the second installment in a series of courses to guide you to become a LEED Accredited Professional. Christopher Davis, LEED AP, will use this session to focus on the three options for the test (New Construction, Existing Buildings, and Commercial Interiors) to help candidates figure out which test best fits them and what they should be studying. Please register early as space is limited. Members $10. Non-members $15.

AIA Summer Camp
Summer exploration studio
The Architectural Heritage Committee of AIA Tampa Bay presents the Summer Exploring Architecture Studio, July 16 - 27, a program designed to assist students in making an informed choice about a career in architecture and other design disciplines. High School age students will learn about careers in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design and planning. They will be introduced to successful architects, take tours of architectural landmarks and be taught basic design principles. It's a great way for a student to learn about a career before starting college.
The program is open to high school students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grades who are interested in a career in architecture and design. Learn more about the Summer Exploring Architecture Studio and the application process here. Scholarships are available, special consideration given to relatives of AIA members.
