AT SEPT. 6TH AIA TB BOARD MEETING
All members should have received a package in the mail with information on the proposed changes to the AIA Tampa Bay bylaws. The package contains a summary of the proposed changes, a full review of the current bylaws and voting card with prepaid postage. Please don't forget to cast your vote on the proposed changes by either checking "yes" on the voting card and dropping it in the mail or attend the September 6th Board Meeting at the AIA Tampa Bay Headquarters.

AIA:RUDC/Urban Charette Community Forum
at Tampa Museum of art
Join the Urban Charrette and the AIA:RUDC as its first of three community forums: Designing our Region: Tampa Small scale, September 08, 2007 at the Tampa Museum of Art. What makes a livable City? Examine current trends in urban design and explore opportunities for a
“Livable Tampa Bay.”

This is an excellent opportunity to educate yourself and your neighborhood on topics such as walkability, street design, and the link between public health and the built environment. Design Matters, and this forum discussion will continue the efforts to use design as a tool to impact our daily lives by sculpting our built environment. We hope to see you and your neighbors there.

Are you interested in Design/Build? Please join architect Chip Hayward and others at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th at Steak and Ale on Westshore Blvd. in Tampa to talk about forming a new AIA Tampa Bay Design-Build Committee. AGC Anti-Growth Hometown Democracy Meeting

The Associated General Contractors of Greater Florida, Inc. invite the AIA TB membership to the September monthly membership meeting. Guest speaker Warren H. Husband, Metz, Husband & Daughton, P.A. will discuss the topic of the Anti-Growth Hometown Democracy Initiative.

AIA Orlando Golf Tournament
Friday, sept. 14th
Join AIA Orlando for the 18th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the Valencia Community College Scholarship fund. The goal of the Tournament is to raise funds for Students in financial need. Join Central Florida's top architectural design professionals at the Champions Gate Golf Resort on Friday, September 14th, 2007.
