The presentation will cover issues business owners face in the design field such as exploring opportunities available to tailor your succession, planning your individual needs and goals and developing a solid team approach with your professional advisors.

Join us on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the AIA Chapter Office at 11:30 a.m. Presentation and Lunch is FREE for AIA members and $10 for non-members. RSVP by faxing in the Registration Form to the AIA Office at 813-229-3411.

Mobile CE Workshop
New Construction in Historic Districts
Join us on Friday, July 20th for lunch and a mobile workshop and receive 4 HSW CE Credits. We will meet at the chapter headquarters at 11:30 for a box lunch and then board a bus for the tour at 1:15.

New construction is not normally associated with historic districts, yet the majority of construction activity within Tampa’s historic districts is either new buildings or additions to historic buildings. New construction has a profound impact upon any historic district, and can either enhance or jeopardize the character of the district. This mobile workshop will explore the delicate balance between the preservation of historic buildings, additions, and infill construction. Site visits will include stops at two private homes, the Valencia Condominiums, and offices of a design firm under construction in Ybor City. Participants will gain insight on two important preservation issues – “architecture of its time” and “historic reference”.

$40 members / $50 non-members. RSVP online here, or by calling 813-229-3411.

AIA TB Monthly Luncheon
Friday, July 27th
This month we will hold a networking luncheon that will also serve as the grand finale for the Chapter’s new Summer Camp program. Join us for a delicious lunch and the presentation of awards and thanks to the many people who are helping to make the summer camp possible. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Valencia Gardens. $20 members and $30 non-members.
